The
coming edition of the off-road event initiated by Voivodeship
Masovia Group of the
International Police Association will take place around Ełk in
Masuria region.
We will invite traditionally civilian giving them the only
opportunity to officially (and legally
J)
compete with Police and border guards teams.
Considering routes and field roadblocks we have selected, as well as
challenges we address to vehicles and Teams, the event will be one
of the toughest you participate in so far. Therefore, we invite
especially all “duramen”, who want to prove themselves and check
their will-power, skill and … cars.
However, we do not limit our invitation to these
crazy-about-the-mud. For all who are more cautious off-road lovers
we have prepared tourist paths with a little adrenaline on it only …

Information 4 Participants
The
base of the event will be located in Rożyńsk Wielki (Prostki
community, 22 km South-West from Ełk) in an old gravel mine (400
meters by the paved road going South-West). The GPS data are: N
53°40,429 E 22°14,062.
Participants might choose one out of four categories to compete in.
The category depends on vehicle preparation:

PL-0 Przygoda (adventure) –
factory-based car – no changes in construction, MT tires, winch
allowed if factory originated;

PL-1 Wyczyn (performance) – 4x4 car with all-changes-allowed,
42” Wheel max, manual winches;
-
PL-2 Ekstrem – 4x4 cars with all-changes-allowed, 42” Wheel max,
electrical winches;
-
PL-3 Ekstrem – 4x4 cars with all-changes-allowed, 42” Wheel max,
mechanical winche;
-
PL-Q Ouady – any ATV vehicle.
Rules of competition:
-
Class
PL-0 Przygoda – 90 kilometers long loop leading thru gravel,
field roads and in minor asphalt. Limited number of more
difficult obstacles – mud and water crossing. Teams follow
road-book and maps, answering questions asked in supplied guide
(e.g. color of the cross in place X). In addition – Teams will
have to pass number of observed trials,

All other classes – 4 loops (30 kilometers) – each starts and
finish in a base. Teams follow short drive-to road-books and
then clearly marked paths. Stamps will have to be collected in
control-cards. Please, be aware of difficulties you will face:
swamps, pools, steep heels, deep mud, traverses, river crossing
and sandy pools. Observed trials will conclude competition.

We
assume 12 hours as a time needed to close the loops

We
would like to highlight that IPA OFF-ROAD POLAND 2010 is to be
first-of-all considered as an integration event based on good and
save recreation in the field with a rational doses of adrenaline –
competition is a secondary goal. Integration with local villagers
and positive contacts is another target.
Fee: 4x4 cars with two Team members – 500 PLN; quads – 450 PLN;
additional person in the vehicle – 60 PLN. Members of
Klubu PolskiOffroad receive 50 PLN discount. Fee includes access
to private area we will driver thru, T-shirt for each Team member,
road-book and maps, stickers, meal in the field, organizational
costs.
When we finish with mud, water, sand, and reduce adrenaline pressure
we will meet in
Hotel Rydzewski in Ełk, where during Grande-lunch
(April 11, Sunday, 3:30 PM) we will share with you results and
winners will be awarded (cost of lunch – 40 PLN/person).
